DESCRIPTION:
Exciting concerts and exhibitions await the public in this grand gathering of youth orchestras and symphonic bands from all over the country, with performances by 14 groups and more than 700 young performers including internationally-trained twirlers.
Banda Rito, Banda Roon features a grand concert of youth orchestras that include the Lasallian Youth Orchestra, San Beda College Alabang Symphony Orchestra, Seven Spirit Kids Orchestra (Cebu), and the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra. The festival also showcases youth symphonic bands from all over of the country, including the Taytay Youth Symphonic Band, Banda Sampaguita (Laguna), St. Scholastica’s College Wind Orchestra, Ang Musikerong Batangueño (Batangas), San Marcos Band ‘92 (Navotas), General Trias Youth Symphonic Band (Cavite), Sasmuan Band 31 (Pampanga), and the Marilao Community Youth Band (Bulacan). There will also be exhibitions of the Philippine Baton Twirling Association (PBTA) and the “best of the best” brass players from different bands, including PhilBanda. Aside from the live performances, there will be workshops, small ensemble performances, a music fair, and other activities.
