Leading Couples of Philippine Musical Theater perform favorite selections from favorite original Filipino musicals Broadway, West End, movies and other musical genres. “Triple threats” is a musical theater term referring to artists who can sing, dance and act.

The 90 minute show features husband and wife Theater artists Juliene and Stella Mendoza; long time theater practicioners and accomplished actors in their own right. Stella Canete was part of the Asian tour of Miss Saigon in the 1990’s. Juliene Mendoza is a recipient of a Gawad Buhay Award. Part storytelling and part variety show, the 90-minute concert will narrate the story of how these two artists came together and became husband and wife, mixed in with music spanning generations that will cater to both young and old alike. Ze Papu and Mamu Show will be a wonderful “extravaganza” of music, dance and theater.

Through the years the personal and professional collaboration of musical theater couple Robert Seña and Isay Alvarez-Seña has given birth to wonderful pieces of theater.  From their youth as the first batch of Miss Saigon artists, to their current status as musical theater artists, producers and teachers, the concert will trace a musical journey taken together filled with growth, love and passion.

Polish. Presence. Professionalism. And a shared love and respect for the hard work that theater and performing entail. These are the stellar qualities that bind husband and wife, Ayen Munji-Laurel and Franco Laurel. These qualities will be brought to the fore when Ayen and Franco perform together in a concert that celebrates the best moments in their lives as both artists, soul mates, parents and friends. The repertoire covers a wide range of musical genres that the couple has explored, from Broadway to Original Pilipino musicals in which both have starred. They will also share with the audience their forays into Pop, Jazz, Gospel and kundiman. And being the Laurels, a few fully choreographed production numbers should be expected.
