Come and see multi-awarded young classical pianist Regina “Inna” Montesclaros in a very special concert as she says hello and birds her friends farewell with music from her heart. Having just returned after completing her studies as a scholar at the Royal College of Music in London, she is about to embark on a new journey as she returns to the United Kingdom to earn her master’s degree. The repertoire for the evening includes pieces by Schumann, Scarlatti, Chopin and Prokofiev.

Inna Montesclaros


Ma. Regina (Inna) P. Montesclaros, 23 years old, is one of the Philippines’ promising young pianists. She is a consistent winner in both national and international piano competitions.


In July 2009, she was awarded Gold Prize at the 2009 Asia International Piano Academy Festival and Competition in Cheonan, South Korea (July 2009), the Silver Prize at the 1st International Piano Competition in Hanoi, Vietnam – (September 2010), and the Bronze Prize & Sole Winner, Concerto B Category, at the 4th International Chopin Piano Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (November, 2010).


Inna was also  First Prize winner in five  prestigious Philippine piano competitions, her latest feat being First Prize winner in the Piano Teachers Guild of the Philippines (PTGP) Beethoven Concerto Competition, Category C (July 2010).  She was also First Prize winner in the Third Rosario Picazo Competition (June 2004), the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) Piano Category A2 (November 2004), the 2005 Competition for Young Artists, Category A, sponsored by the Miriam College Center for Applied Music (February 2005), and the Piano Teachers’ Guild of the Philippines (PTGP) Mozart Concerto Competition, Category B (November 2006). 


She has performed with the major Philippine Orchestras, including the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) with conductor Eugene Castillo, the Manila Symphony Orchestra II (MSO II) with Prof. Arturo Molina, the Metro Manila Community Orchestra (MMCO) with Prof. Chino Toledo, and the UST Symphony Orchestra with Prof. Herminigildo Ranera. She has also been the featured performer in various solo recitals and concerts around the country. Her most recent concerts include being presented in a solo concert by the Cultural Center of the Philippines, held at the CCP Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (August 2014), and a charity concert sponsored by FilFest Cultural Foundation and Insular Life for the Saxum Project, held at the Insular Life Corporate Center Auditorium (September 2014).


In June 2015, she was invited by El Conservtorio de Musica de la Universidad Mayor to be featured for a solo piano concert in Teatro Municipal de Las Condes in Santiago, Chile, for Temporada Internacional de Musica Clasica, representing her country, the Philippines.


She has also been able to take part in various masterclasses with great pianists like Imogen Cooper, Boaz Sharon, Dorian Leljak, Sofya Gulyak, and many more.


Inna studied for two years in the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory Of Music, taking up B.M Piano where she enjoyed the Sto. Domingo Scholarship, under the tutelage of Dr. Raul Sunico. She began piano studies at age 5 under Prof. Cecile Basilio Roxas at the Sta. Isabel College.


Inna is graduating from the Royal College of Music in London for her Bachelor of Music BMus(Hons) where she is a Herbert Howells & Thomas Fielden Scholar, under the expert tutelage of Professor Ian Jones, Deputy Head of Keyboard.


In the coming September, Inna will be starting her Postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music.
