CCP Liwasang Kalikasan

The Cultural Center of the Philippines celebrates Earth Day on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 5:30am to 1:00 PM, at the Liwasang Kalikasan Mini-park beside MBC within the CCP Complex.

In line with the theme, Luntiang Lungsod, Luntiang Sining (Green City, Green Arts), the event will feature activities promoting earth-friendly habits and a healthy environment. Spearheaded by the CCP Marketing Department, the event will open with Zayaw Za Kalikazan, an early morning Zumba fitness workout.  This activity will be presented by finest certified instructors and active members of the Zumba Instructors Network (ZIN) led by dance fitness celebrity Ms. Regine Tolentino.

For this year’s celebration, Liwasang Kalikasan will be transformed into an “Eco-Village,” a theme park divided into various zones with fun, educational and interactive activities: Health and Wellness Zone, Music Zone, Children’s Zone, Farm Zone, Selfie Zone, Science Zone, Food Zone and Disaster and Rescue Zone. Each zone will have a main attraction and a continuous series of demos and interactive events.

Partners include the MMDA, the Bureau of Plant Industry, The Mind Museum, Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation,  Manila Broadcasting Company, the Food Caterers Association of the Philippines, Philippine Navy, The Wild Bird Club of the Philippines, Slimmers World International  and 4.0 Events Management.

The Eco Village will offer an enjoyable and pleasurable experience for the whole family through a relaxing spa experience, organic food, live music and other exciting activities.
