POSITION/TITLE: Senior Culture and Arts Officer; SG-18; Item # 176

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education :  Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Experience :  2 year of relevant experience

Training :  8 hours of relevant training

Eligibility :  MC 11 s. 96 Cat. II *

*(Civil Service Eligibility obtained by completing one year of Very Satisfactory service under temporary status)

 

PREFERENCES:

  1. A graduate of Mass/Organizational Communication, Business Management/Administration, Human Resource Management, Psychology/Behavioral Science, Public Administration, Arts Media Studies, or other related courses.

  2. With at least 2 years of relevant experience involving production and events management, customer service, front-of-house/ushering services, leadership and supervision.

  3. With training in emergency evacuation and basic life support, customer service, arts appreciation, personality development, supervisory/leadership, crowd control and management, FOH services and protocol procedures, general course on diplomacy, personality development, production and events management, critical thinking and decision making or other relevant trainings.

  4. With knowledge in project/program management, Philippine arts and culture, technical theater, frontline service, dispute settlement/transactional analysis.

  5. With skills in problem solving, decision-making, time management, customer service, effective communication skills, planning and organization, and critical thinking skills.

  6. Creative and innovative, with attention to details, independent, pro-active, and knows how to multi-task.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Venue Operations Management

The ability to manage the booking of the CCP performance venues and other related spaces for rehearsals, performances and other events; and, to provide Front-of-House/Ushering services to ensure a safe and convenient environment for the lessees/venue users and viewing public.

 

  1. Orients lessees/users on CCP booking/venue policies and procedures. Employs efficient and effective methods or strategies in handling booking disputes, issues or concerns.

  2. Serves as the Secretariat of the Booking and Discounts Committee.

  3. Presides over pre-production and production meetings.

  4. Monitors venues and identifies issues and concerns that need to be addressed.  Recommends alternative courses of action.

  5. Undertakes process documentation and prepares Lease Contracts and End-of-Activity Report per booking transaction.

  6. Operates and regularly updates the information in the Online Booking Homepage.

  7. Acts as the Deputy Manager of the FOH during assigned CCP shows/productions.  Responds readily to emergency/situations based on the CCP Emergency Evacuation Procedure.

  8. Proposes booking system/policy improvements based on current trends, critical incidents and daily operations.

  9. Takes charge of the special projects of the Division (i.e. FOH Apprenticeship Program, Simbang Gabi @ the CCP, etc.)

  10. Conducts research and formulates related policy on Booking and Front-of-House operations.
